Madeleine R. Norman - 3 Months and counting...

I won't bore anyone with much writing, but we have some more great photos of Maddie. She has grown (physically and mentally) in leaps and bounds over the past 3-5 weeks. She now eats quite a bit at every feeding (at least 4 oz.), and has been better at sleeping through the night on most occasions. Her eyes remain a Blue hue for the time being, and we are told we won't know her permanent eye color until she is 6 months old.

11 Weeks Old!!

Maddie is now over 11 weeks old, and over the past 10-14 days she has changed a lot. She now smiles and "coos" when spoken to, and will even stick her tongue out to mimic you (if you stick your tongue out at her). Her personality is starting to blossom, and she has been an absolute delight (when not tired or hungry). She has also started sleeping through the night over the last 2 weeks, which has been great for Rose and I. More pics and blogging later!!!

Madeleine - The past 2 weeks

It has been quite a while since I have posted any pictures, so I thought I would post a bunch! Below are many pictures that Rose and I have been taking over the past few weeks.

Madeleine is now nearly 7 weeks old, and is starting to do some very cool things. For one, she now sucks her thumb on a semi-regular basis. More importantly, she has started smiling at Mom and Dad (or perhaps it is still gas...). She is also starting to lose her hair, and her eyes have been changing colors (lately they have been a blue hue). Lastly, today she started trying to hold the bottle when Mom was feeding her!

One more thing - Maddie had a cold over the past weekend and we took her to the doctor. There is nothing they can do about the cold (and it was a mild one anyway) but they did weigh her and she now weighs 8.1 lbs! That is quite the growth from being born at 5.7 lbs and dropping to 4.8lbs the weekend after her birth.

It has been a very cool last couple weeks. Will post more pics and updates later!!!

While "daddy" was over at uncle Tom's place (still weird to say that) watching college football yesterday, Auntie Megan was nice enough to take some pictures of Maddie while she was sleeping. Thanks Megan!

P.S. Congrats to both the BC Eagles and MN Gophers for winning yesterday - good games.

3.5 weeks and still growing...

Maddie is now 3.5 weeks old. Every day has been a new adventure, as she continues to grow and become more interactive. This past 10 days she has really been awake and alert more often, which has been very fun for Rose and I. She also like to "do a number 2" in a projectile style while one of us is in the middle of changing her diaper. More to come soon!!

Week 2 - More Exciting Pictures

Madeleine is 2 weeks old now!  I haven't blogged for a full week, so apologies to all those who have missed my updates (which is probably just my parents and Rose's).  Maddie has continued to grow in leaps and bounds over this past week.  She had her first bath, which was quite the experience, and continues to eat a lot.  She has been sleeping up to 4 hours at a time in the evenings, and her Mom has been getting up to feed her.  So far she has been a very good baby, and does not cry unless the following have occurred:  She is hungry, She pooped, She wants to be held, she has diaper rash, She is given a bath.

Well - the above might be too much info for some, but what the heck, it is my blog!!!

More Pics.

Madeleine is now 1 week old!  Here are some more pictures during the past week.  She is still slightly under 5 lbs, but continuing to eat quite a bit.  She has also begun to sleep much better at night, as she has slept between 4-5 hours at a time the past two evenings.  Overall, she remains a very healthy and happy baby :)
